Ty Rogers

  • Expertise in petroleum products wholesale, marketing, pipeline and terminal logistics and hedging.

  • Worked in various parts of the United States in trading and management positions for Phibro Energy and Koch Industries.

  • Co-founder and President of Atlanta-based Luma Energy Resource Management, Inc., a physical and financial energy risk company managing fuel supply, terminal access and financial hedges on behalf of its clients.

  • MBA in Marketing from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University.

Mike Brakefield

  • 25 years experience in North American fuel supply and logistics.

  • Expertise in crude oil, petroleum products and renewable energy rail logistics, including the construction of transload sites, transload trailers and truck fleet management. 

  • Worked in various parts of the United States in management positions for Mobil Oil Corporation, Petro Stopping Centers and Musket Corporation/Love’s Travel Stops.

  • Founder and President of Oklahoma-City based Brake-Away Logistics, Inc., an energy logistics consulting firm. 

  • BBA from the University of Oklahoma.

Mike Turchi

  • 37 years of experience in international and domestic fuel and petrochemicals engineering, operations management, sales and marketing.

  • Expertise in managing, designing and constructing infrastructure in the energy sector, such as oil terminals, pipelines, marine docks and truck loading racks.

  • Experience in terminal operations management, sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions and labor relations.

  • Worked in various parts of the United States in numerous roles for GATX, ITAPCO and TransMontaigne.

  • Founder and Principal of Atlanta-based Summit Terminaling Services, LLC, an engineering and consulting firm and Petroleum Measurement Equipment Company, Inc.

  • MBA from National University (Los Angeles) and BS in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Ross Benton

  • 23 years experience in fuel supply, logistics and management.

  • Expertise in petroleum products and renewable energy terminal management, wholesale marketing and truck fleet operations and management.

  • Part of the second-generation that joined his family firm, Benton Oil Service, Inc. which is involved in the wholesale and retail petroleum products business in Chattanooga, Tennessee and the surrounding region.

  • Worked in all areas of the company including sales, truck dispatch, terminal management, supply and bio-fuels.

  • As President, successfully sold Benton Oil Services, Inc. in 2011.  

  • Co-founder and manager of Rail Transfer Services, LLC a rail transload facility in Albany, Georgia which transloads ethanol on to tank trucks.

Eric Politte

  • Extensive experience providing regulatory and environmental support many of the large and small terminals around the country.  

  • Built and sold his regulatory compliance and environmental engineering firm, Response Management Associates, to O’Brien’s Response Management (a wholly owned subsidiary of SEACOR Holdings (NYSE: CKH; a multi-billion dollar global company)) in 2006.

  • Helped SEACOR build and man their first ethanol terminal, now called Gateway Terminal located on the Mississippi River in Sauget, IL (across the river from St. Louis).

  • SEACOR has subsequently acquired the majority portion of an ethanol distillery/production facility in Illinois.

  • As President of O’Brien’s Response Management, led the company to gross revenues in excess of $1B in 2010 with EBITDA well in excess of $100M.  He built a team of over 600 staff and managed over 15,000 contract personnel.
